Adlaw sin Payukan
Adlaw Sin Payukan, which translates to “Day of the Sea Turtle,” is an annual festival celebrated in the Turtle Islands municipality of Tawi-Tawi, Philippines. Held every May 23, the event coincides with World Turtle Day and highlights the region’s rich marine biodiversity, particularly its role as a major nesting site for endangered sea turtles.
